Water conservation is the process of reducing the usage of water, its wastage or loss, at the same time adapting productive strategies and action plans to safeguard each drop of water and its sources to meet the increasing demand of the same. There are many tips to conserve water in different places. Below are the few of them.

 

Tips of Water Conservation at Home / Indoors:-

 Turn off the tap when not in use, your kitchen, wash basins, toilets, and let it be of any place inside your home.

  • Load your washing machine fully to ensure optimum use of water and go for washing machines with better water rankings.

  • In Kitchen try to use a fully loaded dishwasher and add a tap aerator to ensure reduced consumption.

Tips of Water Conservation at Outdoors:-

 

  • Good to have a water meter at home and checking it on regular intervals would help to find out leakage of water at home and outdoors.

  • Recommended to use watering can instead of using long hosepipes as those would expel huge quantity of water.

  • Water your garden or lawn only when in need. Check the weather condition and analyse the growth of the grass to know when to water your lawn.
  • Use soap water or car shampoo and clean your car with a pail of the same. Ideal to use the hose only for final rinsing and preferably with a spray nozzle.
  • Water butts can be fixed outdoors to collect rainwater which a large source of free water, which will help to use the same later for home use.
